5 St. Patrick's Day Poems for Kids

It's your lucky day! Here are 5 St. Patrick's Day poems that will engage your kiddos in reading while laughing about silly leprechauns, lucky shamrocks, and delicious leprechaun stew.

You can use these poems for poetry notebooks, poem of the day, mini-lessons for reading strategies and fluency, letter and sight word hunts, and reciting to build language!

Five Little Leprechauns is excellent for sequencing and rhyming skills!

Happy St. Patrick's Day is great for reading, and singing along to the tune of "I'm a Little Teapot", just before doing a coin hunt around the room!

Can you catch the tiniest man you've ever seen? "I'm a Little Leprechaun" is great to read before going on a hunt around the school to find the tiniest man you're ever seen :) While out searching, arrange for a coworker to sneak in a leave a golden treat (rolos) on the kids' desks!

Do you have the luck to find a little shamrock?

Whatever you do, don't give away my Leprechaun Stew!  Have the kiddos predict, generate a list of ingredients, and share their own recipe for leprechaun stew.

Download each poem individually, or save with this 5 St. Patrick's Day Poems Bundle!
