Last Week of School

Summer is finally here!  Although some co-workers may disagree, I feel this school year flew by!  I truly enjoyed this years group of kinders!  The students and I worked hard on building a respectful, caring, fun, and goal-driven classroom community.  I am looking forward to seeing them in the 1st grade hallway with huge smiles on their faces.

The last week of school was a busy week; both at home and in the classroom.  Here is a look at what we did.
Ronald McDonald visited our school to promote summer reading!

We had a Genre Study Book Display.  All students in our building wrote their own book.  This was an awesome display to display affirmation of their hard ward.  Genre's by class included Colors, ABC's, Numbers, Fairy Tales, How-To, Non-Fiction Animals, Biographies, and much more!

Our kindergarten picnic was rained out!  We had to squeeze in under the covered entryway.

And, to top off the busy week at school, we also had a busy week around the house.  She sure loved helping her daddy build our new front deck.
